Going to be moving soon and am discouraged by all the negative reviews from almost any apartment complex. My partner and I don’t need anything luxury or with fancy amenities - just a decent place to live. Anybody have any places they would recommend?

Where are all the realistically priced apartments hiding?
Every year my wife and I seem to move into a worse apartment, and every year when we look for new ones, the prices have gone up. Now it seems a 1bed apartment STARTS at 2k/month, and 2bed are closer to 3k.

So studios are 1k + nowadays ? and a one bedroom is 1.2-1.4k ? It’s insane I feel like people would literally be better off not making so much money and just get section 8.
